Smith tied for 1st in KTM RC Cup Championship Points

With one more race weekend left in the 2017 KTM RC Cup Series Championship, Smith has it cut out for himself. Tied for first place going into Barber, Smith has four 1st place finishes under his belt and has placed on the podium in every race he has finished this year. After crashing in Saturdays race at New Jersey Motorsports Park, Smith took the 3rd place podium for Race 2 on Sunday.

Leading in Points in the KTM 390 RC Cup Series...Smith with another win at Road America

A strong weekend for the whole team and I was pleased with my own effort.  Race 1 had an unfortunate turn as it would have been fun to battle with Jackson to the end.  Race 2 involved another duel with Jackson and this time included Cory Ventura.  My last lap strategy didn't quite work out but the race was exciting none the less. – Benjamin Smith

Started off my Motoamerca season with the most memorable race weekend so far in my career. My team and I were able to pull off the double!

Throughout the whole weekend I felt amazing on my Quarterly Racing/On track development KTM 390. From practice 1 to Race 2 I was able to consistently improve my times and stay at the front of the field. I managed to get my first ever pole position to start the races. The competition was very fast both days, making for great battles. At the end of a hard fought race 1 I pulled enough of a gap to take my first ever win! Race 2 brought more riders to the front group making for even closer battles. At the end of the 11 lap race I put my head down and pulled off the win. This weekend was for sure one that I will never forget. None of this would have been possible without the help from the whole Quarterley Racing/On Track Development Team. Also a big thanks to Aria, Gmoto, Sidi, Absolute Cycle Experience, and Impact Armour for standing behind me for all these years. Shout out to George Demetropols for keeping you guys updated on Facebook throughout the weekend and thank you for everybody’s encouraging words!
