Action Jackson takes 1st

Alton, VA (5/14/2017) – You would think a second place finish would be enough for a weekend, but Jackson Blackmon felt the need to go out and not only take first place, but lead every lap and gap the second place rider by 11 seconds in the second KTM RC 390 cup on Sunday.

Jackson had this to say about the weekend, “Man what an awesome weekend! The weekend at VIR stared out a bit rough as I was recovering from a broken wrist that had happened a month prior, and Friday wasn’t looking any better as I had a crash in Q1 and ended up like 11th. Luckily my Dainese/AGV gear held up great and my wrist felt okay after the crash. Then Saturday got here and it was dry, finally! In the second qualifying run I was able to place 2nd and that's where I started for the races. Race 1 was great, Draik, Ben, and I were battling for the win and I ended up just a bit off Draik for second. It was an awesome race and my first MotoAmerica podium so I was stoked! Race 2 was even better, I got the hole shot and led every lap to the win! Being my first MotoAmerica win it felt so awesome and my 1/4LEY Racing OTD KTM felt great all weekend. Dale made some awesome changes that helped for Sunday's race. Thank you to the whole team for this weekend. See everyone at Road America!"
